Lesson Plan Design & Layout: Google Expeditions Spirit

THE PROJECT: Design two versions of a curriculum (virtual reality and panoramic) for SRI and Google’s Expeditions Classroom Study. The purpose of the study was to identify promising benefits of virtual reality (VR) technology and high-quality VR content in classrooms. 

Working with SRI researchers and subject matter experts, developed two  lesson plan templates (VR and panorama). Throughout the iterative template design process, I worked with the team to incorporate their feedback and concerns while keeping the needs of the user foremost.  

Designed the template in InDesign, choosing fonts, colors, and overall look and feel. Created an icon for each template (VR and panorama). Placed the icon on the top of each page so teachers could immediately know what version of the lesson plan they were in - as seen on the two covers above.
